Decluttering the closet

I'm finally going to tackle my clothes closet. Ironically, the clothes are organized. It is the stuff I have on the closet floor and the top shelf that needs organizing/throwing out. I have four big garbage bags and I plan to be ruthless.

DH and DD have gone out, so this is the best time to do it.

    BF and I did the same thing this weekend, and man does it feel good to declutter! We started with the bedroom closet, but didn't stop there. In the end, we cleaned out the hall closets, the boys closets, the linen closet and the utility room. I don't think there's an untouched closet in the house! We have bags and bags to go to Goodwill, and even more that has to, unfortuntately, go to the landfill. I don't think it's the end of our consumerism, but it sure was shocking to see how much crap we have collected.

    DH and I decluttered a LOT of stuff this weekend - filled up my car! We dropped it off at an upcoming yard sale for the local animal shelter. It feels so good sending them the stuff AND getting it out of our lives. Where DID it all come from?
