Feeling Lucky

May 3rd, 2014 at 01:05 am

I was feeling lucky so I bought some tickets for the hospital lottery. Am I being delusional? The last time I bought a lottery ticket was about 5 years ago and I wasn't feeling lucky then, but didn't win anything. The draws are in June.
Has anyone else felt lucky and then did something on a hunch. I'm not feeling guilty, exactly, but want to feel like I have company.

Oh yeah. I know being "lucky" is just a superstition, but I've occasionally bought a couple of Powerball tickets when other things are going my way. Once every couple of months or years isn't a habit to worry about, even if it is a bit silly. Wink

Is that like a lottery that the hospital itself is hosting? If so, that might actually not be a bad idea, because the number of entrants may be much lower, and so your chances should be higher.

Last Thursday I had the 'feeling lucky' day so bought a Saturday's lottery ticket. That feeling has stayed with me in spite of the horrendous snowfall late, late last night. I usually buy some sort of lottery ticket a few times a year. It's a cheap day dream

I buy lottery tickets when the payout is high. I call it "dreaming rights."

Does the lottery help the hospital? If so, then your feeling lucky may mean even if you don't win, they do.
